What is a podcast?
A podcast is basically an audio file (MP3 or wav) that resides on the internet so people all over the world can access it. It is similar to a radio show. It can have one voice, or many voices, or anything in between. Often, it has episodes, like a TV show would have, and it’s usually in audio-only format, although video podcasts do exist. The length of a podcast can vary, anywhere from two minutes to two hours. Some producers of podcasts post episodes on a regular schedule, and others create them whenever they are inclined to do so. Listeners will typically subscribe to their favorite podcasts and new episodes are delivered to them on their listening devices, such as phones, mobile devices or computers, through an app or computer software, such as iTunes, TuneIn Radio, or Google Podcasts.
